SCUBA DIVING CHARTERS

If you already are certified, you only need to bring your card. If not, we suggest that you enroll in a class near your home, and you can take your "open water" certification on board.

The reefs and crystal clear waters of the Caribbean provide fascinating exploration for both experts and beginners. The islands teem with marine life and are available as described below in the skills chart.

The following British Virgin Island dive sites are categorized by diving skill:

NOVICE
MANCIONEEL ROCK (COOPER ISLAND) 0-35 ft Here divers are enthralled by the continuous activity of the colorful reef inhabitants as they go about their daily business. Moray ells may be found amongst the coral heads
CORAL GARDENS (DEAD CHEST ISLAND) 15-35 ft An extensive coral field with many nooks and crannies in which parrot and butterfly fish are playing.
SANDY'S REEF (NORMAN ISLAND) 8-25 ft Enjoyed by novice divers because of its calm, shallow waters. It is an excellent place to spot turtles and stingrays.

INTERMEDIATE
	RMS RHONE (SALT ISLAND) 10-80 ft This vessel sank in 1867 and is regarded by many as one of the best wreck dives in the Caribbean. It now lies in two sections And is home to a number of friendly, inquisitive fish. The sunken treasure thriller, "The Deep" starring Lou Gossett, Jr. and Jacqueline Brisset was filmed in 1976 on the wreck of the Rhone.
	THE INDIANS (NORMAN ISLAND) 0-55 ft This site is centered around a rockey pinnacle which likes off the Norman Island. Abundant coral and schools attract many divers.
	ALICE IN WONDERLAND (GINGER ISLAND) 25-75 ft One of the most pristine coral reefs to be found in the BVI's and renowned for its huge mushroom shaped coral heads.

ADVANCED
GRAND CENTRAL (GUANA ISLAND) 55-75 ft A cavern dive taking you beneath Guana Island itself. One fascinating feature is the "Telephone Booth" (an air Pocket) which divers to speak to one another 55 ft underwater.
THE BLINDERS (VIRGIN GORDA) 15-35 ft Huge granite boulders form a labyrinth of caves and canyons, which team with rarer species of aquatic life.
CHIZUKEN (8 MILES OFF SHORE) 55-75 ft This 250 ft refrigerator vessel forms an artificial reef on the Sand flats between Tortola and Anegada Since 1981. Very rarely visited and hence a haven for a wide variety of fish.
